Program Support Assistant

The incumbent serves as the Program Support Assistant to the Chief of Mental Health Service (MHS). Responsibilities to the Chief of MHS include screening calls and making appointments as necessary, maintaining leave schedules for all MHS staff and provides communication of staff leaves to MHS supervisors, program leads/coordinators and MHS leadership team. Incumbent serves as the ADPAC and key control official for the service and maintains and administers MHS control point for miscellaneous purchase such as office supplies, educational supplies and testing materials. Plans and coordinates a variety of general office support such as storage and maintenance of office supply stock levels and entry of work orders. Incumbent serves as the educational coordinator for MHS staff, scheduling trainings, notifies hospital education of scheduled training along with signed rosters for credit and runs and reports monthly educational MHS statistics and provides report status to MHS leadership. She/he types a wide variety of correspondence including but not limited to memorandums, technical (medical) and non-technical correspondence, reports, service policies, lay letters. Incumbent records and transcribes minutes of various Medical Health meetings and ad hoc committees, receives and logs outgoing correspondence, reviewing it for correct format, punctuation, spelling, grammatical accuracy, factual correctness, enclosures, dates, signatures, and complete addresses, sponsors Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Program badges for staff and trainees and performs other duties as assigned. Experience:
Applicants must have One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-05) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to specialized experience may have been gained performing clerical and administrative support duties including providing training to other staff regarding administrative procedures; managing and monitor an office budget; tracking and compiling data for reporting purposes; performing office automation duties using software applications such as e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, databases; composing, typing and editing letters and reports; public contact work; maintaining suspense action files to ensure deadlines are met; maintaining appointments, schedules and calendars; coordinating meetings and conferences; and, ordering and monitoring office supplies and equipment. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
