PHARMACY SUPERVISOR - Inpatient/Outpatient

The employee functions as a supervisor in coordinating and/or directing the activities of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians including:
planning, organizing and reviewing work, resolving personnel matters, dealing effectively and professionally with employees and union representatives in regards to employee-management concerns, and administering annual performance appraisals. The Pharmacy Supervisor functions as part of the pharmacy management team to accomplish the department's mission, vision, and goals. As required or assigned, the Pharmacy Supervisor is expected to be Acting Chief of Pharmacy. The Pharmacy Supervisor has a basic understanding of and competency in duties normally performed by GS-12 pharmacists in the Inpatient/Outpatient Pharmacy. Work Schedule:

United States Citizenship:

Education(1) Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited College or School of Pharmacy with a baccalaureate degree in pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) and/or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree. Licensure. Full, current and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States (i.e., Puerto Rico), or the District of Columbia. English Language Proficiency. Must be proficient in spoken and written English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), and 7407(d). Grade Determinations:
GS-13:
Must have 1 year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, (GS-12) Knowledge of a specialized area of clinical pharmacy practice or a specialty area. Ability to effectively supervise subordinate staff. Ability to communicate orally and in writing to persuade and influence clinical and management decisions. Expert understanding of regulatory and quality standards pertaining to pharmacy. Skill in managing people or programs. References:

This position may require lifting of 15-44 pounds, walking for 2 hours and standing of 4 hours, reaching above the shoulders, and use of fingers; far vision correctable in one eye to 20/20 and to 20/40 in the other eye; ability to distinguish basic colors; ability to distinguish shades of color; Hearing aids permitted; must have emotional and mental stability. Must work closely with others and around machinery with moving parts.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
