Social Worker - PRRC Team Leader

The PRRC program is designed to support recovery and integration into meaningful self-determined community roles for Veterans challenged with serious mental illness and severe functional impairment. The program is curriculum based and specifically designed to teach the skills necessary to an active, independent and healthy lifestyle. Patients are likely to present with co-morbid medical conditions, functional decline and unstable living conditions requiring a case management approach in addition to education and training. The Social Worker Program Coordinator applies evidence-based practice in collaboration with the PRRC Treatment Team and Expanded Team (family/caregiver, internal and community-based services who provide care to the patient). PRRC provides patient and family health education and rehabilitation services with a focus on self-management, prevention, and wellness, based on the patient's goals and using a Recovery Model approach. The Social Worker Program Coordinator PRRC Team Lead is responsible for demonstrating and maintaining clinical expertise and knowledge of mental health evidenced based treatment, chronic disease management, preventive health, wellness and recovery principles to improve the quality of patient care. The PRRC Team Leader provides 50% administrative/team leadership and 50% clinical duties. Work Schedule:

Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Have a master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the School of Social Work is fully accredited. A doctoral degree in social work may not be substituted for the master's degree in social work. Senior social workers must be licensed or certified by a state at the advanced practice level which included an advanced generalist or clinical examination, unless they are grandfathered by the state in which they are licensed to practice at the advanced practice level (except for licenses issued in California, which administers its own clinical examination for advanced practice) and they must be able to provide supervision for licensure. May qualify based on being covered by the Grandfathering Provision as described in the VA Qualification Standard for this occupation (only applicable to current VHA employees who are in this occupation and meet the criteria).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
