The Production Supervisor will have the rigorous opportunity to supervise production for the Marion, IN performance materials plant.
Safety and Sustainability is a top priority for us so the Production Supervisor will coordinate activities to identify and eliminate safety hazards and environmental excursions, implement Operational Excellence and cost reduction initiatives; and drive continuous improvement efforts.
Specific responsibilities include:
Lead and develop a high-performance team to include 10-12 hourly employees to ensure the daily production and maintenance plans are executed effectively.
Provide coaching to drive continued improvement.
Collaborate closely with Production Management to implement improvements to drive plant success.
Promote and champion area safety activities.
Ensure environmental compliance.
Identify, troubleshoot and prescribe innovative solutions to complex operational issues.
Cover Area Production Manager responsibilities as needed.
Work closely with scheduling, quality and shipping to ensure quality product and on-time delivery.
What you need to succed:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Associate level degree is a plus.
Minimum of 5
years related experience is ideal.
Will consider all experience levels.
Experience/knowledge with manufacturing operations such as batch mixers, pumps, PLCs, scales, packing, timeline scheduling, training and evaluations preferred.
Hands on - must learn all jobs in order to provide direction, respond to questions and troubleshoot quickly to make sound decisions.
Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills.
Project Management skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people at all levels of the company to achieve results.
Demonstrates a commitment to process and systems improvement initiatives as both an individual contributor and by influencing others.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams.
Willingness to work 40-60 hours a week, including Saturdays, as needed.
Report directly to the Plant Manager.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
