Summary:
The ACH Specialist supports the Accounting Department and performs duties and responsibilities involving automated clearing house (ACH) function, incoming wire, tax levies and judgements.
Assists the CFO and Assistant CFO as needed.

Essential Functions:
Process and balance daily posting of ACH items Verify the accuracy of postings and resolve any discrepancies Record and balance all unprocessed items Mail overdraft notices Return all government Reclamations Assist in solving member issues or questions on ACH Enter all rejections, pre-notifications, stop payments, etc.
in the ACH Service System Set up payment sets in ACH Services for ACH origination items Enter daily the Indirect Payments Workfiles Run OFAC and post all incoming wires Answer interrogatories and place holds on accounts when judgements are received from the court Place holds on accounts for tax levies and submit funds to IRS or State when needed Provide support to members regarding the following services, to include answering questions and assisting in error resolution Share Draft (Checking) Debit/Credit Cards Bill pay Position Requirements and
Qualifications:
Education:
Associates degree and two or more year's related work experience in Accounting; Bachelor's degree preferred An equivalent combination of appropriate education and experience may be considered.
Experience:
Two or more year's related prior work experience in Accounting.
Must possess good math skills, possess good balancing skills, and be familiar with accounting principles Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to correspond with members, employees, and leadership members Possess knowledge and understanding in Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) Computer Skills:
Proficient computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite Position Expectations:
