CVSO Job Summary This position assists the CVSO with tasks and duties on a daily basis.
Major Responsibilities/Activities The following are normal for this position.
These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.
Other duties may be required and assigned.
Assists CVSO in scheduling meetings and appointments; maintains Veteran Affairs Office calendar Provides quality customer service to veteran population seeking assistance Daily record keeping, filing, data entry, and mailings Receives and responds to phone calls and emails; greets visitors and addresses needs Assists, coordinates, and participates in various veterans' events such as parades and Stand Down Performs other related essential duties as required or requested by CVSO or County Commissioners Minimum Requirements High School diploma or equivalent is required; some post-high school education preferred; previous background or knowledge in office administration and procedures.
Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite.
Basic military knowledge/experience or prior work with veterans is preferred.
Essential Mental Functions Must be pro-active and possess strong communication and organizational skills to be successful in this position; being detail-oriented and having sound judgment is essential Accurately meet deadlines; ability to work under pressure; excellent organizational and time management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and have the ability to learn essential databases Ability to work with a diverse group of people; adaptability and flexibility needed Ability to handle conflict and effectively problem solve Essential Physical Functions Excellent written and verbal communication skills required; listening skills are essential Ability to work effectively in an office environment, i.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
