4K a year GENERAL CLEANER A General Cleaner will perform a variety of janitorial and custodial duties which are related to the general appearance and cleanliness of the interior/exterior of the facility/building.
Primary Roles and
Responsibilities:
(including but not limited to) Maintains a safe working environment by complying with DFMS standards and policies.
Cleans rooms, hallways, corridors, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floor surfaces.
May use industrial floor care equipment.
Operates industrial type cleaning equipment and tools such as vacuum cleaners, floor sweeper/scrubber, mops, brooms, rubber wiper, scrapers, and various other hand tools.
Washes, cleans, disinfects, deodorizes, and maintains restrooms in a clean and sanitary condition.
Replenishes toilet tissue, towel, soap, and deodorizes as required.
Dusts, waxes and polishes office furniture.
Performs high and low dusting.
Washes windows, walls, door panels, vents, grills, pipes, etc.
Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans other waste receptacles.
Provides setup and breakdown support of events such as tables and chairs.
Moves trash, scraps, and other material to pick up points.
Uses chemicals and cleaning solutions as required.
Responds to spills or urgent requests in a timely manner.
Follows all quality standards and processes.
Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Prior
Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
2-3 of professional cleaning experience.
Industrial cleaning experience is highly preferred.
Experience using industrial cleaning equipment and tools.
Performing repetitive lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
Stoop, kneel and bend continuously to complete assignments.
Standing, walking (including stairs) for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
Must be able to work in non-climate control environment.
May be required to working in tight spaces and be exposed to moderate to loud noise.
Vision requirements:
close, distance and peripheral vision.
Must possess a valid driver's license.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
