Non-Exempt SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
The Shipping Department Associate will be a self-motivated team member who is detail-oriented and diligent regarding accuracy and quality of work performed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE Ability to read and interpret paper work Experience using basic tools - circular saw, nail gun, staple gun Ability to stack cabinet tops evenly to maintain skid level and stability Knowledge and understanding of dangers imposed by use of a saw to yourself and others Attention to detail to maintain accuracy and quality DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES Read paper work and orders and apply to appropriate shipping methods Use tools (circular saw, nail gun, staple gun) to build pallets Maintain a clean work area Observe and comply with company safety rules Operate fork lift or flyer (when trained and certified by company trainer) Maintain excellent attendance record Other duties as assigned PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to lift 80 pounds Ability to lift and carry boards individually Ability to stand and walk on concrete for long periods EXPECTED HOURS Availability to work 8 hours per day and additional overtime hours Monday - Saturday Availability to start work before regular shift and remain after shift This job description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required for the position.
